Day-by-Day Itinerary

Day 1: Arrival in Kathmandu

Your adventure begins as you land in the vibrant capital of Nepal. We’ll welcome you at the air terminal and move you to your inn. Spend the evening exploring the bustling streets of Thamel or relaxing in preparation for your trek.

Day 2: Fly to Lukla and Journey to Phakding

Early morning flight to Lukla (2,860m), known for its thrilling mountain runway. After meeting our porters, we’ll begin our trek to Phakding (2,610m), a pleasant 3-4 hour walk through Sherpa villages and pine forests.

Day 3: Phakding to Namche Bazaar

Today’s trek takes us along the Dudh Koshi River, crossing suspension bridges adorned with prayer flags. We’ll enter Sagarmatha National Park before the challenging ascent to Namche Bazaar (3,440m), the gateway to the high Himalayas.

Day 4: Acclimatization Day in Namche Bazaar

A crucial day for acclimatization. We’ll take a short hike to the Everest View Hotel for our first glimpse of Mount Everest, weather permitting. Explore Namche’s markets and visit the Sherpa Culture Museum.

Day 5: Namche Bazaar to Tengboche

We trek to Tengboche (3,870m), home to the region’s largest monastery. The trail offers stunning views of Ama Dablam, Lhotse, and Everest. We’ll visit the monastery and witness a Buddhist ceremony.

Day 6: Tengboche to Dingboche

Descending through rhododendron forests, we cross the Imja River before climbing to Dingboche (4,410m). The landscape becomes more barren as we enter the high alpine zone.

Day 7: Acclimatization Day in Dingboche

Another important day for acclimatization. We’ll take a short hike up the Nangkartshang Peak for panoramic views of Makalu, Lhotse, and Cho Oyu.

Day 8: Dingboche to Lobuche

Trekking along the lateral moraine of the Khumbu Glacier, we reach Lobuche (4,940m). The trail offers sobering views of memorials to climbers who have perished on Everest.

Day 9: Lobuche to Gorak Shep, Everest Headquarters, and back to Gorak Shep

The big day arrives as we trek to Gorak Shep (5,170m) and then on to Everest Base Camp (5,364m). Standing at the foot of the world’s highest mountain is an indescribable feeling. We return to Gorak Shep for the night.

Day 10: Gorak Shep to Kala Patthar, then descend to Pheriche.

We rise early for a pre-dawn hike to Kala Patthar (5,545m) for a spectacular sunrise over Everest. After soaking in the views, we descend to Pheriche (4,371m), marking the beginning of our journey back.
